Gouqi Island, in the Shengsi archipelago of China, is a mere 2.5 miles large.  The Shengsi archipelago is a series of nearly 400 islands that sit at the mouth of the Yangtze River.  Only 18 of those islands are inhabitable.  Gouqi is an abandoned fishing village in this archipelago that is being allowed to deteriorate in Nature.  This results in some amazingly beautiful and haunting images, as seen below.
