Cooper Waldvogel is 3 years old.  Cooper had been waiting 9 months for his mom, Kathryn, to get home from Afghanistan.  He just couldn’t wait any longer to run into his mother’s arms at the ceremony when she came home.  Check it out.

Here is a video of the ceremony and Cooper’s run to his mom.

What makes this story even more amazing is that Cooper’s father, Adam, is a member of the National Guard and had also been sent to Afghanistan before his mom.  So little Cooper had two long waits for each of his parents to serve.  Talk about patience!

Next time you see a soldier, think about Cooper and his parents and the sacrifices they’ve made.  Thank you Waldvogel family!
