Even before Peyton Manning and Cam Newton led their teams to their conference championships and Superbowl 50, the two star quarterbacks had risen to the top of the pack in endorsement earnings. In 2014, Peyton earned about $12 million for his endorsements of Papa John’s, Nationwide, and Gatorade. Forbes did not list earnings from endorsements for Cam Newton, but after getting a deal with UnderArmour, his endorsement earnings have been estimated to be $11 million a year.
We’re happy to see successful QBs make it to the Superbowl and make a lot of money. But, after one wins and one loses at Superbowl 50, one key question will remain: Which candidate will each quarterback endorse in the Presidential election campaign? This remains a mystery although for some the answer is clear.
