Itty Bitty Hope is small — even for a miniature horse. She stands just 14″ at the shoulder and weighs a mere 13 pounds. According to her owners, Linda and Jim Wood, Hope (as she’s called) is tied for the smallest horse in the world.
But Hope isn’t just some ordinary tiny horse. She’s a tiny therapy horse. The Woods run a therapy horse non-profit called Mini Hooves of Love Miniature Therapy Horses. Hope (as well as their other horses) visit hospitals, hospice care, and the Ronald McDonald House. Kids with Down syndrome, autism and other developmental delays can visit the miniature horses at Mini Hooves’ facility in Texas,
These miniature therapy horses aren’t just cute — they are cute for a cause!
