3-D printing is a cool new technology everyone is talking about.  It promises to revolutionize manufacturing.  There is a similar technology called laser sintering that uses pinpoint lasers to heat metal until it softens or melts and fuses into amazing shapes.  Sintering can be used to create designs that cannot be created with other ways of shaping metal.

American Standard, a major producer of bathroom fixtures, is using laser sintering to produce a set of unique faucet designs, some of which are depicted here.  Who knew you could bring such amazing metal art to your bathroom any day now?

Start saving up for your one-of-kind 3-D printed faucet now, known as the “DXV” line of faucets.  When they go on the market soon, they are expected to retail for between $12,000 and $20,000 a piece!
