According to Time magazine, the soda company Pepsi is finally acknowledging the trend of healthier eating and drinking. Reports suggest that Pepsi is launching a new line of soda called Stubborn Soda and is ditching high-fructose corn syrup in favor of naturally-sweetened sugar cane. Additionally, Stubborn Soda will come in gourmet flavors like agave vanilla cream, black cherry with tarragon, orange hibiscus, and pineapple cream. Industry observers speculate that Pepsi’s new line of sodas are intended to counter the 10-year slide in soda consumption which has been driven by consumers regularly choosing water, natural alternatives and energy drinks over the traditional soda when they dine out. What do you think? Will Pepsi’s new Stubborn Soda be enough to halt the epidemic of tubby, sugar-addicted American kids?
